Previous new features and resolved issues in
ExpensePlus®
Issues resolved and changes made in version 1.0.2:
Palm Software Changes:
- On rare occasions, a mileage expense might have been labeled as a "Business Paid" expense, which in theory isn't possible. Version 1.0.2 was altered so that this should never happen now.
Windows Receiver Changes:
- On very rare occasions, a weekly expense report might have had some expenses from the same week split into two Excel sheets. This has been fixed.
- References to the ODBC databases were removed from the Technical Documentation
Issues resolved and changes made in version 1.0.1:
Palm Software Changes:
- The default currency conversion rates of most world currencies updated to the rates posted on May 27, 1999 (version 1.0.0 default rates were from March, 1999)
- The decimal place for miles (or kilometers) was off by one position in the detailed list. This was fixed in 1.0.1
- ExpensePlus can now be stored in Flash ROM on almost any Palm 3.0 device using FlashPro. This keeps ExpensePlus from using hardly any of your 2 (or 4) MB of RAM space. Only your expense data will be stored in RAM.
- Fixed a problem where if the "Cash" method of payment was changed to a "Business (non-reimbursable)" payment type, then changed back the "Personal (reimbursable)" type, the change wouldn't be saved. This is now working correctly in version 1.01.
- Fixed a problem that didn't allow customers with PalmPilot Pro and PalmPilot Personal organizers to install ExpensePlus on their PalmPilots running Palm OS version 2.0. ExpensePlus 1.0.1 will now run on any Palm 2.0 or Palm 3.0 organizer with sufficient RAM (or running in flash ROM in a Palm 3.0 device -- see item #3 above.)
- Windows Conduit Changes:
- Fixed a problem in the Windows HotSync conduit that happened occasionally when more than one expense report was sent during a HotSync session.
- Account numbers are now being sent to the Excel templates properly on Windows. (Note: the account numbers must be created in the ExpensePlus preferences before the actual expenses are created in order for this to work correctly.) This feature is not implemented on the Mac yet.
- Macintosh ExpensePlus Conduit and Receiver Changes:
- Fixed a rare problem in the Macintosh conduit where the ExpensePlus conduit might not always "see" the data on the Palm organizer, and therefore would not always synchronize with the Mac Palm desktop software.
- Improved the Macintosh ExpensePlus Installer so that the Palm software will automatically be ready to install during the next HotSync session.
- Added the ability for the user to customize the "completed" sound in the ExpensePlus Receiver (Mac only). This capability existed in 1.0, it just wasn't documented. Sample sound files are included in version 1.0.1.
